if you want my actual advice on the way you quit nicotine, you gotta change the intake method in a big way first. so if you're vaping/smoking, you gotta swap to using like gum or patches instead. the radical change-up alone is a big help in just not letting you stay at your static "comfort" level

Can confirm this. When i was younger I remember being very interested in Older Games naturally, even got a N64 from my uncle in 2014 which I still have today. And i played classics like Diddy Kong Racing and Pokemon Stadium alongside games on my 3DS. And i played a lot of emulated games obviously
I've always found that kids will just naturally get interested in old games if they're given a reason to. Back in the PS2 days, my younger cousin wanted to play my Mega Drive just because he recognised Toy Story.
