I use stitch marker style pins.. the ones that look a bit like safety pins. It’s the only thing that helps me stop with the sewing up related procrastination (just don’t look at the top which has been on the sewing up wait list for some 6 months 😳)

I have a shuttle which a really old girl passed on to me, and she had started using it when she was a child… the thing could be 100 years old. Definitely going to find it and use it when I finish my current UFOs 😁
