I wish I drew personal stuff as much as I used to. These days it's just hard to get it going after work. Like I use up all my creative juices and energy there.
Could also just be getting older and having less energy, which sucks.

Somedays I really miss and think about my ex a lot, and consider reaching out. But I'm not gonna do that, because whenever there were problems they would shut down and I would always have to be the one to reach out and it got tiring. I hated being the person always having to chase the other.

I don't really have any advice on game design, since that's a different field from game art! I've only ever done concepts and then making assets for games, only sort of occasionally participated in the process of tuning and game mechanics, which is what game design is. I'm sorry!

The funny thing is that, being a game artist at a mobile studio out of college, I ended up having to animate in flash anyway LOL
But for some reason learning it on the job made it make more sense to me than when I was learning it at school. So dumb.

I was a 2d paper and pencil animator and I was good at it, but my animation prof (RIP, Kathleen) told me that, realistically, most jobs were Flash at that time (this was 15 years ago) and that I should try character design instead. I thought she was crazy. Somehow ended up doing that anyway lol

Went to school to be an animator, had a nervous break down in senior year when I couldn't wrap my head around Flash, wondered if i could even get a job in the current industry, and blasted my portfolio to games studios instead and became a game artist.
Made connections, became a concept artist.

Those are adorable!! I want to get him PJs really bad, he's just so weird with his his body is built, since his legs are short and his neck is huge and his body is like... medium dog length. I gotta figure him out

Honestly, I should just go through my HUGE GoG backlog and see what point and clicks do and do not work on this machine. It really is a crapshoot for some of the weird mid-90s ones. I was real mad that the 3rd Gabriel Knight Game just didn't work on a windows 10 PC.

Okay nevermind. This game keeps fuckin crashin =_= this is an issue w/ several other point and clicks from around this time when you try to get them to work on a Windows 10 machine. It's so unfortunate. I have a metric ton of old point and clicks I can't really play.
