Saw Weapons last night and holy hell was it good. Knows just when to release tension with a laugh and when to let it linger and build. I thought the ending of Cregger's last film Barbarian missed the mark a bit but here he sticks the landing in a wildly over the top way.

Got to see Murder by Death for possibly the last time ever as they are on their farewell tour. I've only been listening to them since 2019 but I've seen them live 4 times in that period. They give such an amazing live show, the energy from the band and the crowd is unbelievable.

Fables of Erlking Wood from @juniba.bsky.social and @goatsflyingpress.com is a fantastic graphic novel, with gorgeous art and storytelling that reminds me of Mignola in regards to its handling of stories and myths. Plus it's got a trickster fox character, who doesn't like a trickster fox character.

Was running a multi year Curse of Strahd game for some friends, important note we are in Iowa. Then the Iowa Hawkeye's Women's basketball team with Caitlin Clark managed to make the NCAA tournament finals in back to back years on days that we had scheduled game for.

Finished a couple video games recently. Disco Elysium is fantastic, funny, somber, surreal and I could honestly keep going, it's great if you like RPGs give it a go. Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a fun Symphony of the Night style game but pick it up on sale as it's short, I beat it in about 7 hrs.

Finally got to see Floggy Molly in concert, they were every bit as fun an energetic as I had heard. Pair that with Amigo the Devil's charismatic macabre folk and it was a hell of a show.

I should post more so I'll start with gushing about it being my favorite time of year, I help run a game convention called Gamicon and it has been going fantastic. Ran Kill Dr. lucky one night and then a clue version of it the next night. Tired but elated with one more day to go.
