Writer, artist, technologist. Wrote a novel called Children of Vale, working on a second. I think a lot about UI/UX and web development, sometimes out loud. Also puns. Deep thoughts with no context.

Hi. I don't do this very often. But 6 years ago, I wrote a book.

It's about a gender-ambiguous warrior on a quest for identity in a world that wants to deny it. By power of belief and threat of autocracy, she is told to keep her special abilities in check, lest… else.

Can they contain her? #scifi

I tried to whistle over a stray cat in my neighborhood and a woman walked by, who I worried thought I whistled at her. So I said “im whistling at the cat” but when I looked back down at it I realized it was just an old fast food bag

If Tim Powers is your jam, I think you'd like When the Winds Sing by @ldcolter.com. This is a beautiful use of Slavic gods and folklore, with characters who leap off the page fully formed.

Sitting outside at the bar-grill (same as last posts), dude walks up, says "hey can I ask you a question"

I slowly look up from my food, he says: "you ever wonder how those tvs they have out here don't get stolen? You know, just sitting over night?"

(He's pointing at the hung LCDs playing sports)

Sitting outside a sports grill restaurant in a state I used to live in. The parking lot lights make the asphalt ground clear as day, but the sky is night; not a star visible in the sky, except for the odd plane among perfectly spaced palm trees.

I like this take.
To be honest, when it came to my first book, I did both.
(But physically reading and editing it on paper with a pen or pencil was essential for me)
the hill I will die on is that you will edit better with a pen than on a screen (choose your colour; i prefer green to blue, and prefer blue to red, but anything's better than a keyboard)

My sewing project is complete!
Done on a 1950's vintage Singer.
Made of various garments I wore to pieces over the years.
