I love listening to audiobooks in bed before turning out the light. The act recreates my earliest literary experiences: being read to by my long-suffering parents, not only before bed but whenever we had a spare moment together.

Taught T. S. Eliot’s ‘The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock’ in my modernist poetry class today. Played them some Stravinsky, too. Might have had a little weep at the lines below.
