One of my favourite playwrights. I loved everything from his silly radio plays to Hapgood, about human nature and quantum mechanics. And of course Shakespeare in Love, one of the last times a comedy won the Best Picture Oscar.

Legal immigrants in the US are being sent to brutal prisons, even though doing so is illegal.

At the United Nations this week there was a widely supported vote to condemn Russia's aggression in the Ukraine and supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Astonishingly the US voted AGAINST it, along with Russia, North Korea, Sudan and Belarus.
