In the original/3DS versions, he leaves the party (and really the game) partway through.
If you were going to add new content, this is a pretty obvious option.

i have started za today after being busy essentially since thursday and i already found a shiny pikachu just trying to complete the zone dex entries.

i think its finally time for me to get a switch 2. za is around the corner and i actually really wanna play the galaxy ports in a good console quality. i havent played smg2 in more than a decade tho

ive been busy lately with me starting my lecturing job as an adjunct a couple weeks ago. we only meet once a week but wow theres a lot of time that goes into preparing stuff like notes, quizzes and exams. i do admit its really fun tho!

finished curious village last night and finally gathering my thoughts, here are some major takeaways:
- i love layton, just a gentlemanly guy with a good heart. his inspiration is obvious but it just works in that art style
- that plot actually was kinda crazy, what an ending
- fuck puzzle 135

i start officially lecturing in two weeks from today! i feel so excited yet nervous at the same time as im planning out lecture material and the syllabus. i cant believe im finally getting to do what ive been wanting to do since entering college for my degree

as much as i wanted abyss, xillia is an excellent tales of game nonetheless and im happy to see it get some love. shocked that xillia 2 isnt included tho. if you havent played this entry yet and are a fan of the series, i recommend picking it up. def one of my faves storywise!

the mh wilds x ff14 collab looking cool rn! seeing omega as the pick was a surprise but appreciated as superboss of the series
and even tho i dont play ff14, ark as the collab monster for them is pretty cool!
also the chocobo/seikret swap was such a freebie glad they did it on both sides
