I have a PS5 OG digital, and positioning it in the lounge was a nightmare. I don't like the shape, it looks very odd to my eyes when placed horizontally. Ended up putting mine vertically next to the TV stand, but eventually created a dedicated gaming area in my office and moved it there.

Pyramids Of Mars has one of the greatest opening episodes of any story in all of Who. Atmospheric, totally gripping and introducing an alien that even the Doctor may not be able to defeat. This is what truly great Who looks and sounds like.

It's with great trepidation that I have been watching the Season 13 Collection Blu-ray boxset, as apparently it is unwatchable due to AI upscaling. My boxset must be faulty, as I am now watching Pyramids Of Mars having previously watched Planet Of Evil and Terror Of The Zygons.

Just finished watching story 2 of Season 13, Planet Of Evil. It feels a bit like filler for me 'cos I know what the next story is... Pyramids of Mars, my fave Doctor Who adventure.

However, Planet Of Evil has one of the best alien planet sets ever seen in the whole of Who, from Classic or Modern.

Watching some of my fave horror movies for Halloween has led me to The Thing by John Carpenter. An absolute tour de force in suspense.
Physical effects means that it doesn’t date in the way some horrible cgi would. One of my all time fave films and a brilliant remake.

This book by JG Ballard, High Rise, was the inspiration for this story and is well worth a read. Ballard has quite a twisted imagination.

For a much darker take, Douglas Adams' book, the hardback version, not the Target paperback, is the one to read. I would love to see a remake of the story using this book as a reference.
