A girl I went to high school with flunked a biology test because she refused to answer questions about evolution on religious grounds. It didn’t make the news or anything. She just got the F and life went on, as I remember.

Okay so who can recommend some non-male artists for me to become obsessed with in 2026? Because this ratio is shameful.

This same skeet but now it’s about Stranger Things 5.
The list of products and services that have not engaged in cross marketing with the Wicked movie is shorter than the list of those that have.

Me: It’s gonna be great to have a four-day weekend so I can get stuff done around the house.

Also me: *spends all of Friday afternoon reading every Wikipedia article related to Fleetwood Mac for no reason. *

The kids are using a mash up of Piano Man and Silver Springs for their tiktoks illustrating some sort of redemption story and it’s making me irrationally annoyed.

“The writers have said it’s open to interpretation.”

Eff that. Give me the answers. Tell me what happened. Spoon feed it to me like they did at the end of Psycho. Don’t write a show with a bunch of mysteries if you’re not going to resolve them.

(So, I just finished The Leftovers.)

I met this donkey today, so yeah, I’d say I’m having a pretty great weekend.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Are there any digital asset management systems that can safely store a fuckton of photos for mostly internal company use, are user-friendly for people used to a nested folder system, and aren’t full of AI bloat?

Plz reskeet; I have four followers on here.

Sorry for the convenience.

Probably it’s time to make certain uses of AI illegal.
"Powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o model by default...tests repeatedly showed that the AI toy dropped its guardrails the longer a conversation went on, until hitting rock bottom on incredibly disturbing topics."
AI-Powered Stuffed Animal Pulled From Market After Disturbing Interactions With Children
FoloToy says it's suspended sales of its AI-powered teddy bear after researchers found it gave wildly inappropriate and dangerous answers.

Just so you all know - the CPSC social media person is not on any bunker list. We're out here with you all in this thing together.

Did you know that Kansas City is actually awesome? Listen, no one is more surprised than me, Missouri’s No. 1 hater. But seriously. It’s the best. I’ve only ever been here in the spring or fall so keep that in mind, but actually, no. I don’t care. It still rules.

The beaches of the Salton Sea are composed largely of fragments of fish bones. Cool but also horrifying.

Saw several posts referencing sandwich guy going free and thought y’all were talking about Jared from Subway. Glad to have been wrong.

Let’s try this in Kentucky.
After 13 years, Mississippi Democrats have broken the Republican Party’s supermajority in the Mississippi Senate.

Democrats flipped two GOP-held Senate seats and one House seat in the special elections.

We love an origin story.
you don't have to put on blackface to get social media attention. you can simply develop mild depression, join a menswear forum, spend the next 15 years arguing about pants, and then weaponize the knowledge against your enemies on social media.

Last chance to turn it off.

On Monday, November 3rd, Microsoft will start using your LinkedIn data for AI training. And remember, you're opted in by default.

I love marathon day in NYC because there is something incredible about supporting friends running it, seeing other people support their friends and family run it, and also seeing thousands of people loudly supporting total strangers run it too.

Today is Halloween and in honor of that I inadvertently made the best Blair Witch sequel yet by accidentally recording inside my pocket while walking my dogs in the woods. 🧙‍♀️
