I don’t think that we need a “moderate” stance on these social issues as much as a succinct one.
We are maximalists on reproductive freedom, social and economic equity, the privacy rights in terms of gender and sexuality, and climate change mitigation. Simple as.

Before we get over our skis on this, just bear in mind that many a successful socialist revolution was won with a lot of help for co-opting parts of the military and/or bringing formers in to the fold.
It’s not just Platner. All military vets are sus. No matter the moral objections they make of the military, it was never a functional deal-breaker to joining the One Big Murder Cult. ™️
