Apparently the finale of The Umbrella Academy S4' (2024) is a divisive one.

Personally, I'm on board with it and it's really stuck with me. Ballsy.

The whole season (and the three prior) was superb. Really glad I got into the show. Must give the comics a try.

'Guns, Gore and Cannoli' (2015) and 'Guns, Gore and Cannoli 2' (2018) are both brilliant side scrolling shoot-em-ups.

The first was more frustrating than I remembered, but also had some more standout moments.

Both are worth playing though. Vinny is hilarious.

'I, Robot.' (2004) was a slow build for sure, but the last 30 minutes get pretty hectic.

Decent adaptation of some of the ideas of Asimov. Having recently read the book though, and anthology film or seriees of shorts would be wicked.

"Bodies from the battlefield? But they'll be mangled". *Proceeds to aquire the nearly pristine head of Jacob Elordi*

Resonated alot with Victor and his love of milk.

Big fan of a dude getting his face punched off.

Victor's creation was packing HEAT.

'Frankenstein' (2025) is worth a watch.

Felt a bit odd have one of the protagonists in 'Predator: Badlands' (2025) be a Yautja, but the duo did not Fann(y)ing about and lots of aliens were De(c)k(ed). They also made a Bud along the way. That was nice.

Decent preddy entry.

Had a great time with 'Cat Quest 3' (2024).

Enjoyed roaming the seas and becoming the purrfect pirate.

Another fantastic entry into this cosy series of games.

I don't care for the "Is Die Hard a Christmas film?" Debate. But I must speak my truth.

'Die Hard 2' (1990) is more of a Christmas film than the original.

The schtick of bullying someone who's genuinely a nice and decent person just because they aren't all there got old FAST.

That said, some jokes and gags in 'Hubie Halloween' (2020) made me chuckle more than I have for a while.

Finished 'Power Wash Simulator 2' (2025).

All I see now is dirt. So much dirt. Please send help.

'Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers' (1988) is a bit dull, as in the first is TENSE, but this just feels a bit flat.

HOWEVER, bonus points because it's Mikey Myers. Further bonus points for the score. Definitely futher bonus points for mad Dr Loomis.

Michael Myers is my favourite horror icon and 'Halloween' (1978) is one of my favourite horror films.

Nothing more to say.

'Artemis Fowl' (2001) was brilliant.

The Percy Jackson books satisfy the Greek itch, Skulduggery Pleasant does magic and horror itch, this fills the need for fairies and folklore.

Really enjoyed 'Percy Jackson and the Chalice of the Gods' (2023).

Nice to have things go back to basics, as it were.

Just a great story about Percy going on a quest and the inclusion of all the Greek pantheon and Mythology was brilliant as always.

Always get a bit bummed that the Dark Universe never took off, but 'The Mummy' (2017) is still a decent enough entry to the now-dead franchise.

Wanted a bit more Egyptian Mythology, but never mind.

Tom Cruise is weird. Russell Crowe is fantastic.

I can't tell if the VFX would have been mind-blowing or not for the time, but I'm assuming they were.

Otherwise, 'Tron' (1982) was genuinely one of the most boring films I've sat through.

Can't always get on with a Walking Simulator (maybe my own lack of speed is why) but 'Still Wakes the Deep' (2024) was terrific.

The atmosphere and setting were fantastic, and the writing and characters really pulled me in.

Not scary, but certainly a great spooky game for spooky season.

'Never Hike in the Snow' (2020) might actually be in my top 3 Friday the 13th films. And it's technically only a short film.

Just captures the spookiness and vibes I've always wanted. Cracking stuff.

Found 'The Conjuring 2' (2016) one quite boring again. But the monsters were pretty cool.

Patrick Wilson performing as Elvis was delightful.

Costumes and set design was fantastic.

'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' (1989) is more brilliant work from Spielberg. Definitely my favourite of the trilogy.

In an alternate universe, maybe I went on a roadtrip with me dad to find the Holy Grail and fight Nazis along the way. Man, that universe sounds rad.
October 24, 2025 at 3:13 PM
'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' (1984) is another fun Indy adventure with a great score and some fantastic cinematography.

I love the relationship between Short Round and Indy.

Willie is an... interesting character.

The Kali Ma chant and ritual has haunted me since I was a kid.

The battery life of the power-drill in 'The Slumber Party Massacre' (1982)? LUDICROUS.

The amount of sugar added to the Kool-Aid and eating RAW sausage? DEADLY.

The killer was actually incredibly creepy up to and including his first bits of dialogue. Then he was silly.

Fridge gag was funny.
October 21, 2025 at 3:51 PM
'Chopping Mall' (1986) may hold the top spot for horniest (definitely late 20's actors) teenagers in any film I've seen.

I had a blast watching. One kill in particular was MIND-BLOWING and I thought it was brilliant.

The robots were actually quite scary. Like the Daleks should be ALL THE TIME.
October 20, 2025 at 7:30 PM
I do have a few issues with the pacing of 'Predator' (1987) but I also genuinely think nearly every aspect of this film is pulled off impeccably well.

An action, horror, sci-fi 80's masterpiece.

Big muscles yes. But less often do I people mention Mac constantly shaving his bare chin. Iconic.
October 19, 2025 at 9:44 PM
I know some people have quarrels with 'The Predator' (2018) and certain characters/representations, but the premise of Predators seeking out the most elite species of each planet so they can gene-splice and upgrade is pretty rad (though why choose humans).

CGI was ok, the practical stuff was rad.
October 19, 2025 at 11:57 AM
I admit that I zoned out of the story for 'Assassin's Creed: Mirage' (2023) and what was happening, but going from target to target and being a super assassin was incredibly fun.

Solid gameplay.

Actually ended up getting the platinum trophy.
