#woodworking been buying a few tools second hand to build up the capacities here in my suburban garage. One lovely thing about out modern age is I can go on the manufacturer's website, look at an exploded diagram of the tool, and have a part on it's way to me for 1/3 what it would cost off amazon.

On the one hand grades are just numbers, and it’s what you learn that matters… On the other I just graduated this cabinetmaking course with a 3.97 of 4.0 GPA. Yeah, I’m a nerd for this stuff. 🤓

Finally brought home my case piece from college. It took a few dings. Mistakes happened in the process. But I’m pretty happy with all the fancy things I made happen on this coffee table.

Broke a kitchen mallet this week. Had some ash scrap, a chisel, saw, and some time. Now I have a replacement that I’m sure will crack on that darker vein. Maybe that’s why the wood was in the bin to begin with? I’ll just glue it back together when that happens. Finished with bees wax. #woodworking

I had some spare time last week while I wait on hardware so I knocked out this staked stool prototype from my classmates’ off cuts. Poplar with cherry wedges. Octagonal legs. Not so sure about the cross member for connection. Maybe I just do two non lapped diagonals next time. #woodworking

Their tools rule. 10/10 do recommend. They are worth every penny. Also the merch goes way harder than anything I’ve seen. And the company is made up of cool people. I don’t know what else to tell you.
