Hey #AcademicSky has anyone assigned a video game for a course? There are lots of ways this could go badly, console exclusives are out. But is buying a $5-70 game more of an ask than a $5-500 textbook? I've had students write EXCELLENT papers on video games, and am tempted to assign one. Thoughts?

Is there a possible world in which humanities students could use AI to create all their schoolwork, humanities faculty could use AI to grade all the schoolwork, and then students and faculty could just read stuff, hangout in classrooms, and learn? #AcademicSky

Around 38-40. I can’t remember which cities in TX and OK I’ve been in.
Surprisingly, I have only been to 28 of these cities.

It’s grading time! Remembering one semester where I made a math error that dropped all students’ final grades by 1/3 (think B- to C+). I had to do grade changes for like 20/22 students. God bless those 2 solid Bs. Well off to it! #AcademicSky #grading #cat in a chest of drawers just for fun.

Several times today, in several different classes, I've told students that they are bright and they have interesting ideas that are worth pursuing. I have seen literal body posture changes. It's delightful, but also, like, who told you that you aren't great? #AcademicSky
