an idea i had that i can’t stop thinking about: chicken shop date x the bachelor type show where instead of amelia dimoldenberg the person looking for their person hosts the dates. whoever can’t take the questions that seem stupid or too deep but really can tell you a lot about someone leaves.

if you think everyone you see on the street in NYC is mean or sus you’re just looking for confirmation bias. if you’re not going around with mid to horrendous vibes or being a dick you’ll see the vast majority of strangers are courteous!!!! helpful even!!!!

New York City went 12 days without a murder in November / December. That's tied for the longest stretch in history, according to the NYPD. As someone who was here when there were 6+ murders per day in this town, it continues to amaze me how safe the place is.

If it hasn't been said, I'll say it: No woman of color would ever be defended in this "she's just a smol bean" fashion & many Black, Latina, Asian & Indigenous women have had their lives & careers destroyed for nothing, or for far, far less. Same goes for trans women. These are just fucking facts.
Possibly the only thing more freakish than Nuzzi's prose is the contortions her defenders twist themselves into. "She's not just hot, but she definitely is hot, while also being a vulnerable smol child. Also, criticizing her is sexist."

It genuinely makes me sad how many people believe the moon landing was faked. It was one of the most amazing things our species ever achieved! We just collectively stopped believing that we could do anything cool I guess.
