I’m Mexican, and I can’t believe what this orange man said. It’s disrespectful and obviously false. If there were no fentanyl consumers and no machine gun suppliers (both in the U.S.), there wouldn’t be any issue. We want peace and to make a living—that’s it.
“Those nasty Canadians are ripping us off and are controlled by Mexican cartels. They’re poisoning us with fentanyl and need to become the 51st state or they will pay a high price” is a belief that literally ZERO Americans had six weeks ago. It’s entirely invented from scratch.

I'm not an AI expert. But IMO, the biggest take away is that our biggest AI companies tried to make competition about how much money they could spend. Locking out others.
Deepseek turned that upside down. Which could open the door to many smarter, more entrepreneurial competitors
