Decided to try a diy winter bird cam. Not sure how sustainable this will be, as the mice definitely were having a birdseed party last night. But it’s fun to watch for now.

I think these two talks by @mor10.com are excellent for framing how we think about “AI” in a more human-empowered way. Healthy skepticism in it, understanding how it works, and using the right words.

Sadly I am unsurprised. There’s been so much pseudo religious discourse around gen AI and the possibility of a god-like AGI that an app maker claiming to put (your own personal) Jesus in your phone seems inevitable. Stupid. But inevitable.
