In 2007, we supported the creation of Watch Me Grow, to strengthen the local early identification and intervention system. Through Watch Me Grow we saw more than 6,300 developmental screenings, more than 2,000 new service providers join the profession, and more than 400 cases supported.

San Mateo County has a history of leading the way. In 2008, our Children’s Bill of Rights became the model for California’s. In 2015, Build Up San Mateo County launched to ensure there were enough high-quality child care and preschool facilities, becoming a model for the state.
