A thread of all books I've read since September
If I did see any signs saying who has what dressing room, I would ask a member of the crew, but not my actors no, they just take over two random ones, one of which already has stuff in it
Of course, why didn't I think about it

Actor: "I'm so sorry to bother you with this repair"
Me, not allowed to be backstage because the PM is an ableist cunt, and basically just kept around to humour me: "Really, don't worry, it's why I'm here"

Voting by post as an emigrant is so weird because I keep seeing Italians talking about going to vote on the 8th and 9th of June and I had to only open my post sitting on my bed, draw five Xs (all yes's because I'm not an awful person) and then drop it into the letterbox round the corner. Wild

I love going to rehearsals with a company that doesn't know me /s
The director went up to me truly thinking I must have been a lost passerby, and I had to just very confidently go "I'm part of the costume team"

Finished my first tapestry crochet project!!!
Design by me.
Obviously there's issues (not sure what happened to the heart), but I'm soo proud of how it turned out!

The only way I can describe the book I'm currently reading is that I wish I had read it at 16 because I would have made it a pillar of my personality then, but I am 21 and it's just fine

[The book in question is The Agency for Scandal by Laura Wood]

This section says the word name so often, this isn't even the full thing. But here's the detectives being detectives even before their first case

I am extremely very proud of today's fit
Also a close up on the pin I'm using as a tie pin, it's a robin!

Putting together new outfits from what I have really makes me feel like a gay young boy in 1910 who's trying to figure out this aesthete thing

What if broach as tie pin? Scarf as ascot? How much jewellery on one's chest is too much?

It's everyone's favourite arson season again!!!!

And also this is such lovely art
How long till the goat burns? ✨

In case anyone doesn't know this is based on the 'Gävlebocken', also known as the Swedish Yule Goat. A giant straw goat that is NOT traditionally supposed to be burned or destroyed! However, since 1966, only 16 have survived 🙃

The prologue is basically this, but I'll do a funny version
"Me and my best friend solved an actual murder and why wouldn't you want to read that. We were so smart, it was pretty much the same as solving a riddle in a magazine."
Let your main character pitch your book! #WritingPrompt

Book 1 doesn't have any snow despite being January, book 4 will have some. The British characters are fine with it, Ness in particular loves it, and the characters from warmer climates want to kill themselves because it's sold
BONUS #FirstDraftFall question to celebrate the first snow here in Toronto: does it snow in your story? If so, how do your characters feel about the snow?

Fun fact, people in tourist destinations are still people and not something to voyeuristically consume and post!
