This just confirms my view of Substack as Edgelord Livejournal. Look, if you have a substack and you're happy about that, more power to you. But 90% of the links I stumble upon to substack are weird libertarians bragging about their right to yell the n-word in a crowded elevator.

If you weren't on the internet or political in 2017 this is basically a repeat of that except like most sequels it starts with a much bigger explosion, followed by a car chase leading to an entire country jumping out of a burning airplane.
