If you look closely at the older picture, you can see raised scales, a possible mite, and a stuck eyecap. He is still very underweight but continues to make progress. He also pooped, and that will be dropped off at the vet for testing 🐍

Raisin, the smaller python, had to be assist fed tonight. He spat up the mouse initially, but I tucked it back in his mouth and he eventually ate on his own.
He is under 100 grams and preparing to shed. The vet I see thinks he has a chance at recovery, but we have a big hill to climb. 🐍

The smaller ball python did not look in good shape last night, but was behaving normally regardless. After a two hour soak, and adding a humid hide to the enclosure, he looks better again (after this pic was taken). I'm not losing hope. Hopefully we will have answers from the vet on Thursday 🐍

I am NOT an advocate for live prey for snakes, but, unfortunately, the previous owners fed live and it is important to get this snake eating sooner than later
