No meetings days policy should not limit collaboration. It should not be an excuse to refuse to help a colleague because "it is no meetings day".

No meetings day should be "no useless cerimonies, syncs, planning and so on..."

The fact that there is nothing similar to github.com/nelmio/alice or github.com/theofidry/Al... in Java is mind-blowing!!!

Since TikTok is finally about to be banned, I’m reupping my long-read from two years ago about why TikTok is such a threat to kids' minds, and why simply banning it won’t end the threat. www.gurwinder.blog/p/tiktok-may...

The tiktok ban happened in united states, I don't want to talk about the reasons behind it, but I'm so happy about it and I hope Europe has the balls to do something similar.

It is the most mind numbing social network made so far

Package manager sizes for some popular programming languages:
- Composer (PHP): ~2 MB
- Cargo (Rust): ~2 MB
- Pip (Python): ~3 MB
- NPM (Javascript): ~7 MB
- Glide (Golang): ~7 MB
- Gradle (Java): ~200MB

Gradle, what do you keep in there, the whole internet??

Opinion: Being a good manager means having the courage to tell your team that what they think they want may not lead to their success.

(learned by many mistakes done on your own)

eg. weekly recurring "knowledge sharing meeting" .

I missed Intel announcing that they went too far with their cost cuts when they eliminated free coffee and tea.

Given 15,000 layoffs, stock down -50% for the year and the fact the board just fired the CEO, the employees need a morale boost. ☕️
