The best time to BDS Israel was 40 years ago; the second best time is now.
The Alternative list was on fire in '89.
Maybe a new sub-category - the followup was a cover
Is it more complicated than: chop up eggs, feed them to chickens, collect new unboiled eggs?
Now that I look closer, I see there are two ports on '<'. Is there a rationale for ports that are bump outs vs ports that are bumped in?
Third, maybe disconnect the data and execution diagrams and treat the execution side as an FSM. Data side produces continuous named values and the execution side progresses from state to state based on those values and whatever constitutes an 'event'. Starts to look like verilog or other sim langs.
Hmmm, first I'd consider moving 'a < b' over to the data side and have it produce a boolean. Second, since '<' isn't commutative, I'm not sure if graphically representing its input as a single port is a good idea.
I think language like "probably just as bad" and "deeply flawed" is internalizing the opposition's marketing. As nominees go, HRC wasn't deeply flawed, she was deeply attacked and we decided on a lazy compromise of 'She's awful but...' rather than 'No'.

Over at the newsletter: I wrote about the extremely nerve-wracking process of writing DILF, a book composed of uncomfortable questions, and about the value of staying uncomfortable: jude-doyle.ghost.io/who-wants-di...
Who Wants DILF? And Other Questions.

Can I bank one against an inevitable future fuck up?
Armchair internet rando thoughts - probably not hyperinflation as that kind of presumes the rest of the world carries on while your little nation of Fuckuppia augers in. Maybe bouts of... um... meso? inflation. Maybe more likely a series of cascading breakages like in "The Machine Stops".

Bluesky has developed such that the "left wing" is left-anarchists and the "right wing" is left wingers mainstream enough to have written for Mother Jones, and I feel this means we're at real risk of site-internal arguments (anything that involves quote boosting to disagree) being counterproductive.

“Deescalate every fight that isn’t with the enemy” is such a useful slogan.
My guess is they'd announce themselves the "True(tm) Catholics" set up an Avignon Pope in Moscow or Little Rock or someplace and wait for Pope Trump I.

We should be asking this

She managed to come across as memorably ethically unmoored in a documentary about Anthony Wiener; that takes talent.
My current working theory is RFKJr didn't like shots as a kid and is angry he got circumcised and this is all an elaborate revenge fantasy by a man with the mind of a 4yo.
Huh, I just learned that the Trump Bible was just a repackaged Lee Greenwood "God Bless the USA" Bible, giving him a whole new dimension of suck.
My (admittedly non-helpful) 2nd line would've been: Well, they weren't ghosts, yet.
Yeah, I'm unclear how many layers of meta- they were trying to stack up there.
I wonder how many folks where they mutually don't like each other but haven't cleaned out their contacts since 1995 get remined by telegram "Oh, that asshole still exists... and just installed telegram".
The bubble isn't allowed to burst until after the wall-to-wall Super Bowl ads touting it as 'the future' and a 'sure thing' air.
Kim Jong Un at least understood the assignment when everyone went strolling out of the DMZ.
