Been messing around with trying to visualize college football possessions/drives in a different format

Here are two examples from the last two Penn State games using a bowling style scorecard by frame and a baseball style line score

Are priors still useful for preseason projection models? FEI projections (built entirely from prior season data) are certainly going to miss on the outliers, but most program ratings are pretty stable year-to-year, notably more so with defenses than with offenses and special teams units.
