Started rereading this children's scifi classic for the first time in ... 24 years? My grandma got the original trilogy for me one Christmas. I remember really enjoying the juxtaposition of faux medieval with mind control robots.

i think if you run downdetector you really can't allow your site to go down. like the onus is on you to have a backup, a backup to the backup, a backup for that backup, and a final backup server in your basement with a really big battery pack. maybe even a ham radio that can send out morse code

Charlotte-Mecklebburg Schools, according to reports, saw 15% of its students absent today amid Border Patrol operations in Charlotte. If that percentage of 15% happens Tuesday in Wake County due to the Border Patrol coming to Raleigh, 24.000 students could be absent from school. #nced #ncpol #wcpss
