Pardon power is not the problem. More people should be freed from this vicious system. Corruption and organized crime as governance are the problem. Shady pardons are just one symptom of the much larger clusterfuck we're in. If you zoom in too much on any detail as "the problem," you lose the plot.

I don't think transgender athletes are the problem facing girls and women in sports.
Investigators say former coach Sean Gardner created videos showing close-up images of at least 10 minors naked or undressing, which they recovered from his computers last year while investigating reports of sexual abuse.

Gardner has pleaded not guilty and has been jailed pending trial.

This pathetic creature is consumed by hate because the world sees him for what he is.

A wretched loser who could never measure up to the accomplishments and legacies of the people he is obsessed with destroying.

Republicans are beyond spineless for their allegiance to this toxic trash heap.

They are being replaced with Trump’s birthday.

We are underreacting to this‼️

We have no explanation on SCOTUS decisions affecting our lives.

The emergency docket, aka “shadow docket,” is the quiet backdoor of the Supreme Court. Decisions drop fast, with little explanation, and Trump is hammering it harder than anyone in modern history.

PS Spay/Neuter your cats as soon as they can safely undergo the procedure

If money is tight, check vets & TNR programs in your area, because many will do this at a discount to minimize the population of uncared-for strays

Democrats can look at that and see it as a cause for celebration.

When global temperatures shot up by ~6°C about 56 million years ago, plants were unable to thrive

The reduced ability of vegetation & soils to capture & store carbon may have kept temperatures elevated for >100,000 years

Today Earth is warming ~10 times faster than it did 56 million years ago
56 million years ago, the Earth suddenly heated up – and many plants stopped working properly
It could be a sign of what’s to come.

again, the supreme court did not write the constitution (or the declaration) and—despite what you may think—they don't have the monopoly on the interpretation of those documents.

the people have a say, and if the court is out of step with the people, that's a problem for the court, not the governed
i think to understand the meaning of the birthright citizenship clause to the framers of the 14th amendment, you have to understand significance of dred scott to the civil war republican party. dred scott wasn't just a bad ruling, it was understood as a rejection of the declaration itself.

For a lot of "nice" Republicans, elections are their periodic chance to go into a booth and push a button to hurt those people like their own real-life Milgram experiment. At a certain point I realized this about my parents, and that it was why they made a point to vote in every election.
