That would require two thirds of the house and senate. There’s little way I can see that happening
The midterms need to result in impeachment and removal of Trump and anyone else it’s possible to impeach and remove. Anything less is unsatisfactory. They also need to be in jail

Yesterday, my family and I went out for Thanksgiving. Some photos of the dinner.

What I truly don’t understand about those who find comfort in AI chatbots is how can one just ignore the fakeness and artificiality?

Currently reading. A truly essential book to understanding the toxic world we find ourselves in, and in preparing for the greater toxicity that awaits unless we act.

IN MY OPINION
Revenge of the sith=incredibly messy, but the highs are the best in the franchise
ESB="Best" SW film
ANH=The one that started it all, but some clunky dialogue and acting
Rogue One=Solid, but last act undermines the world of ambiguity it worked so hard to create

I guess since it’s coming up to thanksgiving, students have been instructed to write letters of thanks. I truly am overwhelmed with gratefulness to receive five such letters including three this morning.

My deep hatred of public school as a student. It fueled my determination to do things better when I became a teacher

Considering the artificiality of films today, I swear this hits even harder, even 60 years on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FON...

As a teacher, accomodations are very much needed for kids, and those kids work their tail off. Anyone who thinks this makes things are ”easier” for them, has never been a teacher. It’s about making things “manageabl,” and that’s the key.
I see we’re doing accommodations discourse, so I’ll share how growing up in 80s and 90s when none of that was a thing was for me.

First off: I did great in school. By which I mean I got good grades, not that it was apsychologically healthy environment.

“Who can’t get over himself.” Interesting way to refer to someone whose father was murdered by his uncle who is now with the mother.
When I majored in English, one of my professors had a devastatingly convincing argument for why Hamlet is Shakespeare's worst play.

He basically said actors love it because it's full of juicy monologues, but there's no there there. It's a play about a dude who can't get over himself.

There are plenty of problems with berman’s trek. This wasn’t one of them.
