The reason that liberalism is unpopular with some folks is that freedom of choice as a paramount goal leads to a society in which individuals make a lot of choices.

Some folks would prefer that someone else make their choices for them.

Some folks would prefer to force their choices on others.

I was so upset last week when someone was advocating the death penalty for (mostly) the trump administration. She blocked me for daring to say that I don't think the state should have any authority to kill... I was really upset. But she was the 1st in MONTHS to be a real monster... Made me feel good

John Willis Menard was elected in 1872, and was NEVER sworn in. February 25, 1870 was when Hiram R. Revels, and I think he should have been sworn in March 4th, 1896.

There is... Still Navy property at least, used to be a place for mothballed ships. Apparently there is a private yard that builds commercial ships on part of the Navy yards.

Something about punishments must be equitable. The same crime gets the same punishment regardless of demographics of the victims or perps.

I absolutly WILL VOTE. And I absolutly will vote for someone I determine to be the best choice to support my morality.

I missed a mid term vote once, I got a flat and polls closed before I got it fixed, and a Presidential vote once, because I was in the field when the vote happened.

I could use some help with wording. I want to add another constitutional amendment to the pinned list on my profile, this one saying that punishments are required to be fair in all territories in the USA, no 25 year old black guy who rapes a child getting 30 years in prison, while a 75 year old...
