Just finished building a proper FTUE for my Godot 4 game, Impious.

Working on a unified skin shader that can serve all characters,avoiding the need to texture each one individually,and saving tons of time when creating new ones.
It works by blending different maps along with the character’s blend shapes.

Time to get hands dirty with weighted RNG.
Here, I'm tweaking the probability of finding a loot room so it increases with each failed roll — a way to make randomness feel fairer and empower player agency.
Balance should start here :D

Fun Fact (Not that fun 😑):
Using #Godot since it was open-sourced (2014), while setting up the DAP in #neovim, I JUST REALIZED I can fix errors, quick-save, and resume. For years, I thought errors broke everything, so I always relaunched my projects every single time.
It was always there smh ... 🤦‍♂️

What?! Now my custom projector started projecting the Godot editor itself, fully updated with the my recent new custom classes and everything 🤣🤣. Easy fix by pressing that @export_button, but still, pretty cool! #GodotEngine #Impious #Indiedev
