I've been trying so hard to make yugioh in the modern day fun. But christ the same old same old Yummy, Maliss, Mitsurugi, K-9 lists come around and make it feel like it's impossible to play anything fun and off meta because if you aren't playing those decks what chance do you have?
It's exhausting.

My son is on blockers legally from before the ban and we did everything they told us to do and now we are being threatened with social services if we don't allow them to "safely withdraw" medication. They admit that the impact will be "stark" for our kids but they are going to do it anyway.

Every time I see accounts from my past pop up with something heinous to say I become thankful that I took a break from social media after my grandfather passed.
It really helped me to rethink my values and who I associated myself with. I'm embarrassed by who I used to be and glad I grew up quick.

When my programs first and second years ask me for publishing advice I'm constantly confused because I'm like when did I become the publishing professional and then I'm like oh yeah when I got published.

i'm so tired of the "bullied nerds" narrative that exists only to garner sympathy for young men being assholes. i had somebody tell me the DOGE teen criminals currently ripping the copper wiring out of the walls of our government were probably bullied at school and i wanted to spit in their face
