Spinning some of Ravel’s piano music, performed by Reine Gianoli. I’d never heard of her but there’s a small bio in the pics below, she eventually became a professor at the Paris conservatory and unfortunately died quite young. I got this for Miroirs, but surprise! It’s all good. Recorded in 1954!

My favourite sacred Mozart is musically impeccable and aptly ecclesiastical but, perversely, I want more sonic weight and operatic bravura. The spatial Bach is superb.
