It sure looks like Russian intelligence attempted to use military drones to assassinate the President of Ukraine inside an EU country.

Looking forward to more thoughts from Belgium on why freezing Russian assets is an escalatory move that might compromise the peace process.

I think they mean is probably what Ed Davey sugggested:
While there's no direct path to fully rejoin the EU Customs Union, there are ongoing discussions/proposals for UK to join the Pan-Euro-Mediterranean (PEM) Convention, a customs area allowing common rules for tariff-free trade with Europe.

The silent majority of British people are crying out for politicians to come up with practical solutions on immigration.

That means recruiting more caseworkers, getting the backlog down, letting asylum seekers work and pay their way and creating safe and legal routes for refugees.

Was just talking to a fairly non political but centre left friend about the Greens and I think one thing about Starmer too is that his refusal to make genuinely difficult positions makes it tricky for his competitors on the centre left too.
The fascinating thing about the Starmer-Badenoch era is it really shows how much leadership cues matter even in an era of low partisanship and a fragmented public sphere. Starmer has transmitted learned helplessness to the centre-left, Badenoch has transmitted clown behaviour to the right.
The Kemoi Badenoch energy that radiates off these anti-Reeves articles shows just how much having a figure who isn't a fucking clown as Opposition Leader actually matters - a principle that R Beloved Fourth Estate really cared about from 2015-2024 but mysteriously gave up on for some reason

It’s not, it’s standard diplomatic language being made during the Eu-UK reset

You all think it is because you lived through a decade of Brexiteer Tories
Starmer declaring “we have to keep moving towards a closer relationship with the EU” is a significant moment.

Reflects transformation in public opinion + need for economic growth.

Not trying to burst any bubbles; but Spotify is over.

They are airing ICE recruitment ads, the CEO has been investing in military/AI tech, they barely pay their artists; sometimes a percentage of a cent per stream, they promote “fake/AI artist” playlists, and there’s major concerns about data use.

But we'll welcome former Tories Jonathan Gullis, Danny Kruger, Lee Anderson, Nadine Dorries, Ann Widdecombe, Lucy Allen, Jake Berry - the former chair of the Tories, for God's sake - Andrea Jenkyns, Maria Caufield, Lia Nici ... 20 of them so far.

They should never be forgiven. Except those ones.
