New research from MIT found that those who used ChatGPT can’t remember any of the content of their essays.

Key takeaway: the product doesn’t suffer, but the process does. And when it comes to essays, the process *is* how they learn.

So excited about this book! I just heard @kashana.bsky.social describe student loans as a way to punish the working class for trying to better themselves. Which is, obviously, why we need to do heists to get rid of student debt!
Can a Black woman who’s drowning in student debt join up with her mall coworkers to defeat the Debt Police and destroy their student loan company by pulling off the heist of a lifetime? Find out in The Payback, out July 15, 2025, preorder now: www.simonandschuster.com/books/The-Pa...

Schumer a few weeks down the road, probably: “Okay, so he defied the Supreme Court. Big deal.”
Schumer: "If he defies the Supreme Court, then we are in uncharted territory ... our entire democracy is at risk. I believe that if Donald Trump should defy the courts, the public will rise up. Democrats will fight it in every single way ... autocrats only succeed if the public lets them."

«the very concept of the research university as an autonomous institution is under direct attack. The shift is stark. If, during the Cold War, the government funded universities as a way of strengthening America, Mr. Trump … treats them as a threat to be dismantled.

The Department of Education is (was?) responsible for:

✅Distributing & monitoring spending for special-ed & low-income students;
✅Facilitating postsecondary financial aid; &
✅Civil rights enforcement

Impossible to see how dismantling it will do anything but hurt kids & students.

“Unusual governing arrangement” is an interesting way to characterize illegal pillaging of the federal government and the American people.
Elon Musk’s unusual governing arrangement with President Trump and signature slash-and-burn style has reverberated far beyond the Capitol, making even lawmakers from deep-red states begin to sweat.
