I think the problem is that white people really don’t notice when a space is full of white people. Not from anything consciously malicious, but because that’s normal for y’all. But it’s so weird. So, so, so weird. You should know that and feel bothered by it.

I am begging this team to hire an experienced trust and safety lead, and team, right now.
I have been in gaming for decades. This is a known problem set. This is NOT the answer. We have literal giants of this space on this platform telling them that this isn't the answer. They just need to listen.

Online communities do self-police, it's just that the only real tool they have to do that in most places is the 'report' button, which relies on some other entity to take action. Giving people more defensive tooling (mute/block lists, community labeling, delegated thread moderation, etc) is the way
