from 1965 to 2011, On Kawara made at least eight Code works, using either colored hashmarks or massive numbers. A Guggenheim guide deciphered one in 2015, and last year Duncan McLaren and two collaborators deciphered all but the first Code, which is prob a Japanese text greg.org/archive/2025...

Chen Jialing (1937) is a prominent Chinese artist known for his contributions to contemporary ink painting, ceramics and tapestries. Chen pioneered the "Shanghai new ink painting" style, blending traditional ink wash techniques with modernist experimentation, using European watercolor influences.

IYKYK. If you don't know, you should try to experience The Visitors by Ragnar Kjartansson wherever and whenever you can. Currently on display at SFMOMA for a few more months, but usually showing somewhere in the world.
