Is it the original version of the music, or did they get someone with a better ear than they used for Anniversary, to transcribe (maybe even 'borrow' from sheet music samples...), to recreate the OST, using all the patches discovered by the Odyssey Project?
This does sound like the OST, to me.

Happy 30th Birthday to one of the best episodes of Star Trek (joint 1st for my favourite with about ten others), ‘The Way of the Warrior’.
Top to bottom, there some amazing details in this (Dukat beaming aboard the Defiant before all the council members, being my favourite).

Second time's a charm. Only real wish for the sequel, is that they ensure the engine (UE5...) is made to be as performant as their own was, and (please god) no shader compilation issues.
Then, I'd love an Alien³ style of co-op mode, where the beast has to be trapped.

Alien: Isolation modded so that the flamethrower uses way less fuel (allowing for gratuitous burning of Working Joes, and Seegson Security), and the torch batteries actually last about 30 minutes:

In addition to the Foundation Jumpship and the Harkonnen Ornithopter, here comes another replicas of an iconic design in pre-order at @masterreplicas.bsky.social : the police Spinner, designed by Syd Mead 😎
It is 11 inches long and 4.5 inches wide, made of die-cast metal and high-quality resin.

Alien³ is my second-favourite film in the franchise, & always has been, due in large part to the incredible (mostly British) cast, as well as it being more 'true' to what I feel the series should be about - a single, deadly creature (not that I don't like Aliens - just vastly prefer the first film).

If you want to laugh at my #1 starship hangup, this is what bothers me more than perhaps anything else in modern Trek: Dark, grungy hulls!
To me the refit struck the perfect balance of realism and utopian minimalism and nearly every other ship since has taken us further from the light of god. 😅

Thoughts on Alien: Earth.
If the series is a part of the stand-alone Alien universe, then I genuinely think it's awful; on par with all 2009+ Star Trek, & all the Halo games made by 343.
If the series is secretly a part of a rebooted AvP franchise, then all will be forgiven.
Alien: 0
AvP: 10

My two favourite sci-fi series (franchises, but I hate using that word) are Star Trek, & Alien.
Aside from the Jerry Goldsmith connection, I loved them because, in many ways, they complimented each other as polar opposites.
Anywho, I'm miserable that both of them are utterly dreadful, nowadays.
