🚨 In CLT, primaries decide City Council. As incumbents file, I’m proud to challenge the status quo.

Everyone says “research candidates,” but don’t forget to check their campaign finance reports too! 👀

I encourage you to!

Tonight’s ribbon cutting for the new Windsor Park sign was a beautiful moment for community pride 🙌🏽

Huge applause to Windsor Park President Rachel Guzmán & the board for making it happen.

With support from @CLTgov’s Neighborhood Matching Grants & years of resident input. 💚

CLT leaders keep trading transparency for “efficiency” & our communities pay the price.

East CLT deserves better. Running against an incumbent is hard, but running to fight for a liveable, safe, & accountable city is worth it.

Love to see more folks sharing their platforms and visions.

East Charlotte deserves real conversations about our future.

Proud that our campaign is helping raise the bar for what representative leadership should look like. We’re all better for it.

We’re not waiting our turn because East CLT cannot wait.

I’m running for Charlotte City Council District 5 to bring East Charlotte’s voice back to City Hall and bring the power of City Hall back to East Charlotte.

Billionaires are bowing down.
Media figures are bending a knee.
Public figures want to accommodate.

It is up to us to form a new opposition.
We will not back down. We must not obey.

“Much of ‘the Resistance’ was hashtag activism, a social-media-driven simulacrum that allowed people who disliked Trump and feared what he and a radical GOP might do to feel as if they were playing a role in the opposition.”

This is good news— and predictable. Threads was insistent on throttling political content, insistent on using a non-linear timeline, and insistent on promoting the same type of mindless engagement bait (“what’s the solution to this math problem?”) that rendered Facebook unusable.
Despite a massive head start, BlueSky has now overtaken Threads in the US 👇

With recent news about media outlets & corporations being business as usual, it is more important than ever to do the opposite.

It’s not normal, & it is essential to recognize the challenges we face. We must remain vigilant & resist any attempts to normalize division, hatred, or authoritarianism.

Most young children in the U.S. who go to preschool experience classrooms segregated by race and class. But some programs reject this model and instead work to create classrooms that children from all backgrounds can access. Here is how an ECE program in Wisconsin is bucking the trend.

This is absurd.

Not only will a mass deportation cost more than $88b in US taxpayer money and result in an estimated 4-6% loss of US GDP, but it will separare thousands of families, including mixed-status households.

It’s fiscally irresponsible, cruel, and inhumane.
