Yesterday’s racist march is the maga effect, they are learning. Now more than ever the good people of Ireland must be actively & vocally anti racist.
While the fall of the fash at the polls is reassuring, we can be thankful they are fragmented and uncensored. I doubt they will make the same mistake twice.

Paying farmers to rewild is by far THE most important thing society could do to reverse nature loss. But here in Ireland, it wouldn't involve 'doing nothing'.
As someone practising rewilding for almost 16 years, I can tell you it requires very hard work: removing invasives, and much more.

It’s what they do in Kenya to help prevent elephants from ruining crops while roaming around. The willingness is amazing because they earn the same money and don’t have to do anything.

Measles high infection rate is the reason we have not yet been able to eradicate it. That rate means you need a very high vaccination rate to prevent outbreaks. It is possible, but not with current levels of institutional distrust.
The average person with the flu gives it to around 1.4 people. The average person with measles gives it to between 12 and 18 people.
Measles cases continue to surge globally, putting millions of children at risk.
More than 10 million people globally were infected with measles in 2023, a 20% increase from the previous year.

We can laugh at this US-centrism, but this very week an Irish senator asked the Cathaoirleach to ban paper straws by executive order... and in the all-too-recent past, Presidential runner-up Peter Casey said he would have "pardoned" Enoch Burke.
Hey other countries have public libraries so maybe don't generalize and assume they all operate the same. Not all public libraries are connected.

They literally removed the T from LGBTQ and erased any mention of trans people who were present at the Stonewall Riots. They're trying to erase us from history.
