That wasn’t the abusive part of the NDA.

No one needs to spread misinformation about TST. They do that so well themselves, pretending they have functioning campaigns like Grey Faction.
They spent over half a million dollars in donations to provide telehealth abortion services to around 100 people (their numbers) in states where abortion was already legal. Their healthcare “help” is wildly inefficient and no real abortion fund will work with them.
Except it’s not true. TST has no food pantries or infrastructure to accept and process large scale food donations. I worked for them for several years. The source of this whole thing was an AI hallucination.
They aren’t. It stemmed from an AI hallucination and wishful thinking. TST lacks the infrastructure and ability to do any significant mass food drive.
Most media outlets have no interest in covering TST beyond the typical “oh look at these cheeky pranksters!” narrative, and when they do, TST sues (look up TST vs Newsweek). They also compel their volunteers to sign abusive NDAs. I signed several when I worked for them.
What could a legitimate abortion fund have done with $500k? Helped so, so many more people. TST’s clinics operate in states where abortion is legal and takes clients from those states ONLY. So.. what are they doing that someone else isn’t doing far, far better?
So you can get a telehealth abortion from TST’s sites. But there are some serious problems with it. First of all, their own numbers of who they have helped are very low, to my best recollection about 100. And they have raked in about half a mil in donations.
It isn’t. They don’t have the capacity for mass food distribution. It all stems from an AI hallucination.
I also have grave concerns about how they maintain patient records and privacy because TST has no infrastructure to do that appropriately. Their data security in general for the organization is dismal, and most of their security team also quit.
I worked for TST for years before leaving with the rest of most of the mistreated volunteers. The abortion “clinics” are also a grift. They siphon funds from legitimate reproductive rights groups (none of which will work with TST).
It can be hard sometimes to find primary source stuff because TST abuses NDAs with its staff. (I used to work for them.)
That motherfucker literally cannot (or refuses to) make his own goddamn grilled cheese sandwiches.

PSA: Satanic Temple is led by a reactionary, borderline-fascist grifter.

PLEASE do not amplify the claim that they are magically going to feed a big bunch of the WIC/SNAP folks set to go hungry.

At a minimum, that's doing free PR for bad people.

And it potentially gives the impacted false hope.

The thing about people showing you who they are through harm is, they do not get to claim publicly to be anyone different until they do the work of public repentance and repair.

So if your dirtbag faves are "better" now, well. No they're not, not until they do that work
It’s not on that level, no. But it is exploitative and unkind. They also engage in smear campaigns.
OH NO I TOLD THEM TST HAS NO FOOD PANTRIES AND NOW I AM BLOCKED. I wonder if that's why Doug blocked me, too.
And their Good Works program is largely defunct. I used to work for the organization, and my colleagues who ran that campaign left TST like almost everyone else did. It's an awful organization that abuses its volunteers and has even sued ex-members (and lost).
The only people featured in that documentary who are still actually involved in The Satanic Temple are Lucien and Malcolm, the two co-founders/owners of the organization. Everyone else has left. That organization treats its volunteers really terribly.
That's just a strange claim to make. I'm a Satanist, so I'm not a fan of most churches. But I live in Houston, and Catholic Charities operates three food pantries here.

TST does not have the infrastructure to "help the hungry." Some of their congregations independently do small food drives.
You mentioned The Satanic Temple below, and just FYI: their various social media accounts also use AI "art" constantly.
At a glance, none of those sources are The Satanic Temple or any of its leadership.
Except they aren't. What is your source on this? Because they don't have the infrastructure for mass food distribution, period.
For reference, Food Not Bombs, as small as it is, is infinitely more capable of food distribution than TST is.
I used to work for them. It's possible that some of their congregations are doing small food drives locally, but the organization does not have the structures in place to do large scale food donation even if it wanted to--and it isn't really part of their mission.
That's what some of us are actually trying to do. As far as we can tell, it's an AI-generated hallucination. As someone who used to work for TST for several years, none of what people are posting makes any sense if you know how TST is structured. It doesn't have a single food pantry and never has.
