Saw the Royal New Zealand Ballet’s very inventive Kiwiana rendition of The Nutcracker! Includes a summer Christmas at the bach; dancers dressed as chocolate fish, hokey pokey ice cream, lolly slices, pavlova, native flowers and birds; and a rat king that leads weasels, stoats and possums. Beautiful!

The police have only recently been framing Tom Phillips as a monster. I think they're trying to head off upcoming scrutiny. But certainly, the family courts did not protect the children adequately. I don't think anyone had the full picture in this sad sad case.

Another reason not to buy Dell laptops anymore - weak USB-C power adapter connections. These are way worse than the barrel connectors. All it takes is an accidental pull on the cord in the wrong direction and the whole thing is ruined. My kids have killed two of these things already.
