Really questioning what life choices led me to think spending 20 minutes confirming whether or not an Instagram story by Hans Zimmer is legit was a solid idea.

Ah, so Susan Crawford wins the Wisconsin Supreme Court election, Tammy Baldwin won the Wisconsin Senate election, and Harris lost Wisconsin.

Looks like Wisconsin is pretty keen to vote for a progressive candidate when they've got one running.

Yesterday, the U of Minnesota deleted the American Indian Studies’ statement on Palestine. (Also deleted was a story about Leonard Peltier’s return home and five other dept statements on Palestine.) Our expertise matters if we don’t oppose genocide. web.archive.org/web/20250322...
Statement on Palestine, Genocide, and Repression

This is just so devastating to read and process.
“I ask you now: do not stop speaking about Gaza. Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free.”

Hossam Shabat’s final message to the world, shared by his team after Israel assassinated him this morning in northern Gaza.

The list of violations on Wikipedia's Gaza ceasefire is a wild read. Basically boils down to "Here's a long list of children bombed by Israel during the ceasefire plus some new war crimes they've just enacted and also Hamas was 5 minutes late in releasing 3 of the hostages."

About once a year I get an email from a prison in Arizona asking if I'd like to connect with a very specific prisoner (who I've never heard of before in my life). I have no idea why.

I honestly think the reason the ADL didn’t call out Musk’s Nazi salute is bc it knew it was going to become a right wing shibboleth and it was terrified of just how many—and how many influential—people it would have to label “Nazi” if it called it by its name.
Doing a Nazi salute while saying “My heart goes out to you” with a smirk is now an in-joke for MAGA / Trump / Elon / GOP circles which is so widely understood that it prompted immediate laughter from enough people at the National Pro-Life Summit that you can hear them laughing on video.

I want to make it clear that Biden’s expansion of the detention facilities in the U.S., as well as Obamas bullshit with Guantanamo, made this possible. When you see so many people yelling that liberal policy leads to fascism, this is what we mean.
Trump: Today I'm also signing an executive order to instruct the departments of defense and homeland security to begin preparing the 30,000 person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay

We will never out republican republicans.

Democrats should be the party that helps people- and starts with those struggling the most for the common good.

Anyone missing this point should be fired from “strategizing” for the party.

Great reporting. The Israeli army said that most people killed in bombing a Beirut apartment block were Hezbollah. The BBC found that nearly all were in fact civilians, and a third were children. www.bbc.com/news/article...
