Yesterday was my last official board meeting of the Cass County Conservation District that I will sit as a board member. It is bitter sweet after 4 years plus another 5-6 being an associate board member. I opted to not run again and possibly pursue some other local elected position.

FYI I’ve decided to really reduce what I say on social media due to the politics we are being subjected to currently. A friend reminded me that I frequent the U.S. / Canada border and could actually have my phone looked at and judged by my social media content.

I feel that we are in a time where we have to be caucus of what we say or post online so I’m just going to share this story and say it would be a shame to see these beautiful stretches of rivers go unprotected from development.

Such a beautiful river running through this National Forest. I still haven’t hooked into any Salmon as they are slow moving in and now with the weekend approaching I’m sure having this stretch of the river all to ourselves will be coming to a end until Sunday when people head back to work.

I have got to the point that I’m being very careful with what I say or share online. What a scary time we are in. Who would have thought us civilians would have to watch our actions for fear of being arrested.

We went from solitude in the woods to being surrounded by friends and supporting a good cause. I will add that I was skeptical about attending this due to the potential for it being a very Polical event but I will say I only see American flags and one “I support PBS” flag. I’m very surprised

I’ve been disconnected for a couple weeks as I’m freeing up our lives a bit. We found out just how difficult it is to travel with a pet this past year so I jumped in to the RV life. We have taken it to Traverse City area for a week and are now planning a U.P trip but I have some decorations to add 😎

This is so spot on. I am so disgusted right now I think I may have to tune out all news sources again for a bit.
We had a great turnout for our AIS landing blitz. This was also an opportunity for Our local Conservation Officers to do some Public Outreach. Many of the people that showed up were from our surrounding lakes which is nice because they were actually our target 🎯😎.
