My family was teeny tiny before my parents disowned me. My kids know all of my good friends as their aunts and uncles.
And, to your point, growing up there was always a couple at family parties who were aunt and uncle. Wasn’t until I was an adult when I learned they were just friends of the family.

This is my personal leafblowers hate. When I'm on the freeway in Los Angeles, which often has 8 fucking lanes, at least 75% of the other drivers are texting away and not even looking at the road at all. Fucking insanity.
A bit ago, I passed 7 cars on the freeway. Every single one was on their phone.

Thing is NYC was at its best that day real ass people on the same team trying to survive everyone was so proud to be American that day and then Congress and Bush used that sense of togetherness to wage war on people who weren't responsible for it and it led to this stuff today and, well, shit.

Up there ‘trauma’ wise with being dropped off at CCD when there wasn’t even class and then having to wait around until mom could round trip, pre cell phone, and come back.

I made the mistake of reading a bit of this thread and I regret it; too many flashbacks of struggling through college Calc 1 and 2 (the latter twice…). 🤢
i'm also working on teaching myself calculus via textbooks right now and am always interested in further suggestions
is Khan Academy the best place for a grown up (me) to start learning calculus (and probably having to back track to dependencies because oh god my math education kinda stopped with algebra)

Not going to claim to always go out like this (a bit of rain turned to quite a bit of snow while we were in the store) but going slow and taking side streets was perfectly fine!

I grow more disappointed each day with friends/family that refuse to acknowledge this amongst their friends/family. As a parent, even more so of other parents that will acknowledge those folks are racists and completely ignore the fact that they’re presence is harmful to their own children.

I had a friend for three years I never talked politics with who turned out to secretly be a member of Identity Evropa and was connected to a series of racial terrorism incidents on his campus. Anyway, my hunt/peck naturally turned into decent typing even without all that. 😂

My mom worked in an office and was a fantastic typist. My father worked in industrial settings and may still hunt and peck to this day. I remember being so frustrated waiting for him to complete simple tasks. 😂
