I don't use LLMs to write content for my blog, beyond acting as a thesaurus and proof reader (to spot typos, grammar errors and things like missing links) and very occasionally finishing a sentence for me because I type most of them in Apple Notes or VS Code

Sometimes when I fly I worry the plane will crash. I know it’s an irrational fear because I’ve flown hundreds of times and have only been in twelve crashes.

The trick is, don’t make it too common. John Smith. Yawn. John Smoth. Now you’re talking.
Picking names for characters is one of the hardest parts of the writing process, so listen: Keep a list of names you like. You hear a name that sparks something in you, add it to the list. It'll save you so much time when you need to name your characters!
