Every single day of my goddamn life.
a Twist Classic
Begging on my hands and knees for the day that modern video games move past this "temporal smearing" approach to rendering tech.

I gotta hold the camera still for 1-2 seconds to allow the TAA / RTGI / SSR to fully settle. I would much rather have fully rendered frames than noisy smeared garbage!
AI: "it's shooting a thing, ok you got this *chugs 50 liters of water*, uhhhhh sparks? Ok, it's on a ladder now... crap, where does its legs go? uhh- there... ok it's landed, there's sewer; ok crap gotta put something there, umm splash! *chugs 50 more liters of water*... it's moving, more splash!"
I agree all the detail makes this really hard to read. Because of this, the things that immediately drew my focus were the decal projection artifacts and unaligned detail textures on the architecture.
Yeah, I'm done with this company. (would've done this sooner, but things have been busy)

Is Groundhog Day a roguelike?
If anyone out there knows of any good resources for learning how to create good topology / edge-flow for a 3D sculpt, please bestow! I am searching far and wide and coming up with loads of "draw the rest of the owl"-type videos / images.

I am mainly struggling with connecting arms to shoulders.
Actual timeline cleanse, thank you for posting.
goop thread? goop thread.

Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.
Me: Homogenization of diverse communities makes them easier to understand, predict, and control.

The word "Luddite" is not an insult in a world where refrigerators play ads
Had to check, and wow... "Samsung is committed to innovation and enhancing every day value for our home appliance customers." ... "we are conducting a pilot program to offer promotions and curated advertisements on certain Samsung Family Hub refrigerator models" ...

"Does your AI model identify itself as Male or Female? [what it could mean for his/her legal rights]"

AI Futurists, do try and keep up.
Maybe it's just me, but I think multi-billion-dollar corporations shouldn't be allowed to settle a case with 1% their net worth the moment it doesn't seem to be going their way. Especially when a guilty verdict would have nearly put them out of business for *checks notes* "pirating 7 million books".
NEW YORK (AP) — Anthropic agrees to pay authors $3,000 per book in landmark settlement over pirated chatbot training material.
Even the whimsical stuff feels empty and creatively bland. Secret Blockbuster room with a too small TV in the top corner you can't reach. A sitcom corner that tricks you into thinking the interior looks like Friends, but it's actually just more boring minimalism. Old timey telephone with jump scare.

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑
