Of the certainties in life, there are death, taxes, (if you're in Central Texas) never drive on I-35, and the fact that every subscription you have will increase in price perpetually. At least Yoast is adding some functionality with their prices increase.

I've decided to be brutally honest with these recruiters who reach out to me with opportunities that have insultingly low rates. Perhaps if I was in my 20s, living in a shared low-cost apartment, and just starting out in SEO I would consider it. Calibrate your expectations, recruiters.

I guess the corporate lawyers are trying to earn their exorbitant pay today. I received ToS and legal policy updates from Reddit, Paramount, and PayPal. I guess this must be a sad, new holiday in America. Happy ToS Day, everyone!

Just received my invitation to AI Mode from Google. It appears to be a tab that precedes the "All" tab in desktop mode. It appears that in the responses, Gemini will only link to its sources, not other relevant sites.

When you kill a site out of spite, this is the result. Of course, the White House isn't (supposed to be) a profit center, but remember, there are ramifications to arbitrary content pruning. Are you willing to live with the outcome?

Having an SEO-aware team is super valuable. A development lead recently pointed out that, while we require the alt text field to be populated when an image is added, our system hasn't been using it on certain pages. Train your teams in what to look for, and you'll increase your efficacy tenfold.

At what point does a scarf become a blanket? I saw a woman at the grocery store with a scarf that had to be at least 8 feet long? Wrapped twice around her neck, it still hung down to her ankles.
