This is Laurel, the lucky person who was married to Kevin for 19 years, reporting the very sad news (in case you haven´t heard) that Kevin passed away suddenly on Monday (11/11/24) (peacefully, in his sleep we think). I am devastated. 💔

It's after midnight so it is now my late husband's birthday. He was a decade older than me so we always knew he might go first (I hated it when he reminded me of this fact), but we never really talked seriously about what to do when it happened. Thought we'd have more time. 😭

I have the lowest expectations of the Gold Glove Awards so this was a pleasant surprise.

Still grumpy Joe Mauer didn't win at least one Gold Glove Award at 1st base (there was one year he should've won).

And forever grumpy that the best defensive 1st baseman I've seen (Hrbek) never won one.
