I’m a long time TIFF member and festival goer. TIFF and Ticketmaster have changed their system ordering system yet again and it’s the worst I’ve ever seen. The checkout is broken and half the films I wanted are off sale - during early bird for members. Half!

CBC leads among all news sources as the most-relied upon and most-trusted in this new survey. It also leads among most age groups, though Weather Network is slightly higher among Gen Z. Other broadcasters like CTV and Global are also at similar trust and use levels

And maybe that’s why the response to the efforts of Rebel and its bastard son, True North, to derail the Q&A at the leaders’ debate has been so muted. Why many, even in the media, are being so polite about it all.

I always say ‘elbows up’ when talking strategy, advocacy and the need to protect our own. It is such a part of Canadian culture I honestly had no clue (but should have) that it came from Gordie Howe
When Mike Myers wore his "Canada Is Not For Sale" t-shirt on SNL, he mouthed a secret code: "elbows up."
It's a reference to the great Gordie "Mr. Elbows" Howe who punished those that messed with his team.
You heard him Canada: elbows up.
If anyone asks why, tell them that Mike Myers sent you.

Food banks and organizations have deals to make the most out of a dollar and to get more of what people need.

It feels nice to buy and donate a can! But giving the money straight to them is best.
Tis the season for helpful posts about what food shelves need so here's my advice:

If your kid's school is doing a Canned Food Drive or a movie theater is doing a special movie screening with a can of food in lieu of admission: give a can.

Otherwise: JUST GIVE MONEY.
