My digital art program journey:
MS Paint > GIMP > Krita
I used GIMP for so long before I tried actually drawing/painting. It's great for photobashing and 'shopping memes. But then I decided to try drawing and painting for real, and Krita is just so amazing and has such an incredible community.

People love to say AI is democratizing art as if art wasn't something that children and cave men did for thousands of years. Who is getting a vote on art that didn't before? "I press a button and a robot poops out a movie" isn't what democracy means.

BINGO! BINGO! I did in fact have "the return of phrenology" on my 2025 Bingo card.
This is legitimately scary. They are trying to push facial personality AI analysis, and who they hire for workplaces. AI companies are falsely claiming that they can tell someone’s personality just by a photo of them.
There are companies considering using this technology to run through candidates…
