I wonder if I might have missed a big chunk of where the risk resides in the Police, and indeed other agencies. It looks at first glance like this in a men problem; most of the worst of it has been men. Of course there's the correlate that men predominate in those positions

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

A middle school boy created deepfake AI CSAM of his fellow classmate, a 13 year old girl. The girl pleaded with the school but they did nothing and instead put her on a bus with the perpetrator. She ended up hitting him and was expelled but nothing happened to the boy.

Connection between the anti Tamatha Paul hoarding and the campaign company ala Jordan Williams, & being hired by SST to do that.
Theres so much about SST that is wrong but I always remember they stood with Bruce Emery who killed Pihema Cameron.
They're not 4 victims.

Here's a question for Americans. I think people identify their voting affiliation at enrolment, and that that enables them voting in primaries. But as far as I can tell there is no party membership, and no structure for members to influence policy or leadership.

So, if I have this right, all of the senior police staff that ensured this was covered up and their mate Jevon's career was safe have all gone. It's all good now. No more bad apples. Again. Sorted. Nope, no-one would ever do that again.

At what point do we publicly accept that NZ is deeply corrupt and the only reason why we don’t have a culture of direct payoffs and bribery (that we cite as the evidence for us not being corrupt) is because it’s not needed? The boys club gets what it wants through people playing their social roles.

You know what shouldn’t happen ‘on the taxpayer’s dime’? The unnecessary Ministry of Regulation, a vanity project created to purge government of things to which its creator is ideologically opposed.
Public agencies are offering staff te reo Māori and Māori-Crown relations training, but senior ministers say this isn’t how public funds should be spent

Again a systemic story that's bigger than the individual bits: a govt which ran into power in large part based on banging the localism drum about water has accelerated the pace of centralised - and personal Ministerial - decision-making.

This is a big story about this govt. Someone should tell it.
Yet another power grab.

“These approvals would be given directly to the Minister of Conservation without the input of either the Conservation Boards or the NZCA.

"This board also has concerns that the proposed draft document also appears to limit input by iwi."

Who knew what and when about the controversial anti-strike Facebook ads?
But Christopher Luxon says that didn’t happen and the Commission denies it was seeking approval. Labour wants Collins to clarify and is reminding the Commission to be politically neutral.
